Dear Loyola community, Friends of Loyola University New Orleans have made nearly $69 million in gifts to the Faith in the Future campaign over the past six years. This historic outpouring of generosity is the result of teamwork: ● visionary planning by faculty, staff, and campus leaders Today, as we prepare for some exciting announcements over the next few months, we introduce the newest member of the Faith in the Future campaign team: Tenacious Ignatius. It is fitting that during the week of All Saints’ Day, we enter the final phase of the $100 million Faith in the Future campaign by invoking the spirit of our founder, St. Ignatius Loyola. In this new phase of our efforts, the statue of St. Ignatius that graces Loyola’s Peace Quad and was itself a gift to our campus from the Loyola Jesuit Community and Trustee Emeritus John P. Laborde, Sr. will remind us in a variety of settings and ways what gifts are doing for the students, faculty, and staff of Loyola. Please join me in getting ready for a months-long multimedia campaign that has at its heart the primary Ignatian virtue of gratitude and the tenacity of spirit embodied by our Jesuit namesake. You can follow the adventures of our beloved “Tenacious Ignatius” daily on social media and at Iggy.Loyno.edu. My thanks to the staffs in the Office of Marketing and Communications and the Office of Institutional Advancement for partnering on this important moment in the Faith in the Future campaign. With gratitude, Chris Wiseman '88, Ph.D.
